Verify Worker Email Addresses
The way a worker's email address shows as verified may depend on how the worker record was created. Worker records are created either automatically with data that is transmitted from Voter Focus or they are created manually in EWP. You can learn about when each of these methods is used in Add or Edit Workers.
In the EWP system, a worker's email address is flagged as Verified, Unverified, or, when not provided, Blank. You can filter the Worker Export report to list only one of these email address statuses.
Records Created Automatically with Voter Focus Data
Email addresses can be verified in Voter Focus. An email address, when present for a worker, is transmitted from Voter Focus to EWP and is flagged as either verified or unverified.
If the email address is flagged as unverified, the EWP worker record is created with Email not verified highlighted on the Personal tab.
Both the Admin and the worker can see this highlighted status in the worker record. Only the Admin can see and click the Resend Email button. This sends a form email prompting the worker to confirm their email address by clicking a link.
If the worker receives the email and confirms their email address, the address is automatically set to Verified in the EWP system.
Alternatively instead of receiving verification from the worker, if a worker is unable to successfully complete the automated process, you can select the Force Validate box beside the Resend Email button to flag the address as verified.
Once an email is verified:
- The new status and the date and time the email was verified is automatically reflected on the worker's Personal tab.

- The verified date is added to the worker's audit log.
- The Resend Email and Force Validate options are removed from the worker's Personal tab.
Records Created Manually in EWP
After entering an email address in a new worker profile and saving the record, a form email is sent automatically prompting the worker to confirm their email address by clicking a link.
Until the email address is verified, the Admin can click the Resend Email button to resend the form email.
The email will continue to show as unverified in the worker's record until it is confirmed by the worker using the automated process or the admin clicks Force Validate.
